- A foundation is solid, something you can build on.
- Foundations are structurally sound.
- In order to have a great foundation everything has to be inline.
- Testimonies are a personal conviction or witness of truth, of things as they really are.
- Testimonies are built with prayer, willful obedience, trusting and having faith in the Lord and reading about and applying principles in our certain situations.
- In order for a Testimony to be strong, we need to be in line ( John 7:17)
The danger of neglecting a foundation is that over time it can crack and crumble,a testimony will also dwindle if we neglect it. There is an agent that you apply to concrete right after it has set up it is called sealer.
Concrete sealers are coatings applied to concrete to protect it from corrosion. They either block the pores in the concrete to reduce absorption of water and salts or form an impermeable layer which prevents such materials from passing.
Our testimonies can be sealed in our hearts by obedience, prayer and studying the scriptures. The Holy Spirit (or the sealer) bares record of truth in our hearts. I was talking to a woman here in Billings and she said " my testimony was completely destroyed", I told her 'your testimony wasn't destroyed or torn down instead it was under construction'- strengthened rebuilt, added onto or built with more truth and principles.
- A foundation starts with a solid base, concrete and rebar.
- A Testimony starts with desire, faith, repentance and obedience. A Testimony starts with the basics, a very solid base.
- (Helaman 5:12) And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the arock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your bfoundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty cstorm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.
